I have decided to have a go at joining in Julie's Advent Calendar posts by posting a Christmassey-themed picture daily onto my blog. Julie, like me and quite a few of us I should imagine, fondly remembers the days of non-chocolate advent calendars when looking forward to seeing a new picture each day as we opened each door was a real treat.
These pics can be ones we have taken, or from Google or Youtube.
So without further delay, here is the picture for Day 1, the 1st December 2014...

Yes - I remember the more simple advent calendars. As we took the decorations down, we closed all the windows so we could use it again the next year. My sister and I also shared a calendar, taking it in turns to actually open the window! How times have changed. x
ReplyDeleteGreetings from the Land of Santa Claus!!! I think the real Santa lives in Rovaniemi Finland ;-)) I also remember those non chocolate advent calenders but I wondered also how old tradition the adventcalender is?. Nowadays even our cats have their own adventcalender ( full of catnip treats ) :DDD
ReplyDeleteHave a joyfull week!
I love your photo! I put a photo of my tree in the living room from a few years back on my blog banner.. will that count? ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
