Cosy Comforts

Friday at last - what a week!!  Very busy, mostly positive, but the weather has been very wet and windy- such a change after the driest September on record.  The leaves are starting to fall with a vengeance.

But, with the weather certainly turning very Autumnal, this means there are lots of excuses  jolly good reasons to engage with lots of cosy, comforting things.

Here is a random collection of things that have generally helped to conjure up a sense of cosy, homeliness...

Delicious Scandinavian-inspired lemon cake...

Autumnal bouquet...

Victoria sponge with lashings of cream and jam...

Oreo and chocolate cheesecake...

Even the cats have been cosying up together...

All of this is a great antidote to the grey skies...

Hope you have a lovely and cosy weekend!

  1. Oooooooooo, love the cakes. I can't eat gluten sadly and so my cakes never really come out the same, they're okay but not luscious like yours.

  2. The cakes look yummy

  4. Wow, you must be very popular in your family! I would love to taste your lemon cake. We're going to have an easy going weekend.. after a VERY busy week!! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

  5. Cool, rainy days with gorgeous gray skies make me want to curl up on my sofa and play with yarn.

  6. All the things I love :) Cakes, cats and flowers ( even stormy sky)<3 <3 Thank you for this happy moment
