A bit of a giveaway/competition....

Hello everyone!

To mark the end of the holidays I thought I would come up with a little competion/giveaway for my lovely readers!  A few months ago I was lucky enough to visit one of my favourite countries....ah, but which one?

The blogger to correctly name the country of my visit (photos below) will win one of my handmade lavendar hearts in a colour of your choice! And a couple of other surprise goodies!

Rules (such as they are):
  • you must be a follower of this blog
  • Deadline for entries - midnight on 5th September
  • If more than one blogger names the country correctly, the names will go into the hat (or similar recepticle) and my trusty helper (aka my daughter!) will draw the winner
Clue - its not in Europe.....and thats it!! Simples!!

OK, here goes with the picture clues:

Well, where in the world is it?!

Have fun, and good luck!

My first ever giveaway win!!

Morning!

Recently I was lucky enough to win my first ever giveaway, organised by the the lovely KC's Court!  Oh boy, was I excited!  And the prize?  Well, take a look:

A Knit Your Own Royal Wedding book!  I was out of the county at the time of The Wedding so this is a lovely souveneir!

But, in true bloggy kindness-style, not only did I receive the book - included was some yummy yarn as well:

This yarn is so lovely and soft I just have to keep picking it up and handling it!

However, this is not the end of the tale....as my regular readers will know I have been under the weather this summer, so my bestest friend Sue got involved, and to cut a long story short, the parcel was sent to her as she knew I wasnt reading blogs at that time so would not have known that I had won!

Thank you so much Julie for this lovely giveaway - and for taking the time to sort it out for me, and of course big thanks as well to Sue for sorting me out once again!

Just got to love blogging!

slowly getting there.....

Good morning everyone, hope you are all well and enjoying the summer.

Seems ages since I was here - almost a whole moon ago.....

Im slowly getting back to normal after my run-in with The Dreaded Shingles, but it is taking a lot longer than I would like (me being quite an impatient person).

I have been truly blessed with all the good wishes and treats via swaps and giveaways from the lovely folks in blogland, and will be posting about these soon - thanks so much to all of you!

In the meantime I have been doing a few crafty things (just did not have the energy to then sit at the laptop and post about them, poor old thing that I am!!) these are some of my most recent makes:

I have sooooo loved making these - each heart represents a different phase of the moon.

I made a lot of them, with many just displaying the crescent moon - these all went out as gifts:

The night sky fabric was a purchase from a patchwork shop called Heirs and Graces in Darley Dale, I bought it ages ago, just perfect for this project

Hope you all have a super Saturday, whatever it is you are doing!
