Goodbye 2012...

Good morning!

I thought it would be a nice idea to post some pics of 2012 as seen by me and this little blog.

January - one of my first attempts at making icing decorations - I attended a cake decorating class with my friend Sue, we both had a great time!

February - a beautiful snowy walk on our 24th Wedding Anniversary - it actually snowed a few flakes on our Wedding Day, but nothing as much as this!!

March - a collection of crochet blanket squares made for the Blanket Swap - taken outside in the sunshine!

April - I was blessed to be able to visit the beautiful Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and on this visit was able to re-visit the achingly-beautiful Rose Red City of Petra (cue Indiana Jones music please!!)

May - a little cross stitch project made me smile...

June - a big Diamond Jubilee celebration saw me making some bunting - my first ever attempt!

July - London 2012 - what a fabulous event, I was lucky enough to get to go to Old Trafford to see the football tournament.

August - in London to gaze at the newly opened Shard - cant wait until they open the viewing platform!

September - I got all poetical in my post about a visit to the sea...

October - feeding my obsession with crochet and pumpkins...

November - enjoying the 5th of November with our friends...

December - crafting gifts for loved ones...

I have loved this little retrospective look at the year just about to pass by - blogging really helps to lock in memories of special times - some big and spectacular (think visits to Jordan!) and some just small quiet moments, such as sitting out in the spring sunshine taking photos of crochet projects.  Precious Times with loved ones are forever captured in the archives to be enjoyed again and again.

Thank you - for reading and commenting on my varied writings, and to all my followers old and new - a special thank you!

Enjoy New Years Eve - lets hope the weather is kind for the fireworks!

  1. Brilliant idea to post something about each month, I enjoyed that.
This year has flown by and I am wishing for the years to slow down a bit for us. There is so much I want to do and not enough time.
    Happy new Year.

  8. You are exactly right about locking in moments, I hadn't really thought about when I started out blogging, but it is lovely to see what you did, big and small, I've been reading about Petra recently, so it's interesting that you've visited there.

Hope 2013 contains lots of good times to blog about.x
